01

Product role

Role and authority.

How is ValaisOS different from a document repository?

ValaisOS is being designed as an intelligence and review layer over firm-approved information environments. The firm continues to determine its authoritative repository and records workflow.

Does ValaisOS replace a firm’s CRM or document-management system?

No. The product direction is to work with firm-approved systems rather than displace them. Each firm determines which platforms remain authoritative for client, document, and records activity.

Is ValaisOS a generic AI copilot?

No. ValaisOS is being designed for consequential professional work in which evidence, firm policy, review, and accountable authority remain connected to the intelligence being used.

Who remains the authority when ValaisOS is used?

The firm does. The firm determines permitted information, processing choices, approval paths, authorized actions, and the systems into which approved work may be promoted.

02

Processing boundaries

AI control and custody.

Can a firm determine which AI providers are permitted?

The product direction supports firm-governed choices about permitted providers, credentials, execution modes, data classes, and outbound boundaries. Availability will depend on the approved deployment.

Can AI processing remain local?

Local processing is part of the design direction for appropriate workflows, alongside firm-approved remote options. Local execution is a control choice—not a compliance conclusion—and still depends on endpoint, retention, security, and operating controls.

Does ValaisOS claim that no data leaves the device?

No universal claim is made. Data movement depends on the firm’s approved deployment and processing mode. ValaisOS is being designed to make relevant processing and outbound boundaries visible rather than imply that every workflow is local.

How is AI-assisted work identified and reviewed?

ValaisOS is being designed so model-assisted work remains distinguishable from approved firm work, with relevant sources, assumptions, processing context, and review state available to the authorized professional.

03

Reviewable work

Evidence and records.

How does ValaisOS preserve evidence and professional review?

Product workflows are being designed to keep sources, assumptions, versions, review, and approval connected so a material outcome can be understood and reconstructed.

What happens when a source changes or a workflow fails?

The regulation-first direction favors visible stale-source, policy-mismatch, conflict, and failure states. A failed or outdated workflow should not silently turn unreviewed output into authoritative work.

Does AI output automatically become a firm record?

No. ValaisOS is being designed to treat AI output as proposed work. The firm determines classification, approval, retention, and promotion into its established records workflow.

How does approved work enter a firm’s established workflow?

The design direction treats promotion as an explicit event: authorized work moves to a firm-designated destination with its approval and resulting destination context preserved. Availability depends on the approved deployment.

04

Regulation first

Firm responsibility.

How does ValaisOS approach books and records?

The firm determines which material is a required record and which system is authoritative. ValaisOS is being designed to support explicit review and promotion into the firm’s established records workflow rather than make that legal determination itself.

Can ValaisOS adapt to an adviser’s existing policies?

That is the intended direction. Access, processing, review, approval, and promotion should follow a firm’s approved policy profile rather than a generic compliance conclusion.

Does ValaisOS make a firm compliant?

No technology makes a firm compliant by itself. ValaisOS is being designed to operate within firm-approved policies, systems, configurations, and supervisory procedures.

How will regulatory changes be reflected?

Public design commitments and future control mappings will be versioned and revalidated before they support a product claim or deployment decision. Each firm remains responsible for interpreting changes with its own legal and compliance professionals.

Private access.

Is ValaisOS generally available today?

Not yet. Product details and access remain selective while the product and review standard are being refined. Private-preview requests are considered individually.

What should I share when requesting early access?

A name and work email are enough to begin. Optional professional context can help make a future conversation relevant, but confidential client information should not be submitted through the public form.

A firm remains responsible for its environment.

These answers describe product direction, not legal advice or a compliance conclusion. Suitability depends on each firm’s registration, activities, policies, systems, configuration, supervision, and operating procedures.
