Company
ValaisOS is being built so that expansive intelligence and deliberate authority can work together.
ValaisOS™ (pronounced va-LAY O-S) is an intelligence and operating environment being designed for private-wealth professionals. It is built by ValaisOS LLC, a Colorado limited liability company formed on July 28, 2026 and based in Broomfield, Colorado.
What we are building, and why
Advisory firms hold decades of client context: the reasoning behind decisions, the evidence that supported them, and the approvals that made them the firm's own. AI can widen what a professional can read, compare, and draft, but in consequential work the firm remains the authority. ValaisOS is being designed so that AI-assisted work stays connected to its evidence, is reviewed by an accountable person, and enters the firm's systems only when approved. The Governed Intelligence Principles and the regulation-first design direction describe the standard in public.
Who it is for
Private-wealth professionals: registered investment advisers, financial advisers, advisory-firm operators, and the compliance and technology people who support them. The design assumes a firm with obligations to its clients and its regulators, and it is meant to fit within the systems and policies that firm already governs.
Why now
Two things changed at once. AI tools reached the advisor desktop faster than the procedures around them, and the rules that govern client information did not wait. The amended Regulation S-P reached its compliance dates for larger firms in December 2025 and for smaller firms in June 2026, and firms are now accountable for service-provider oversight, breach notification, and the records of AI-assisted work in ways they were not two years ago. Advisor Insights documents that shift from primary sources, and the product is being designed for it.

Market context
The Investment Adviser Association and Comply report 16,544 SEC-registered investment advisers serving 73.7 million clients with $176.8 trillion in assets under management in 2025, and that 92.8% of those advisers employed 100 or fewer people (Investment Adviser Industry Snapshot 2026, published June 3, 2026; figures as of year-end 2025). Advisers focused on individual clients were generally small, with an average of 8 employees and $424 million in assets under management (IAA and Comply release, June 3, 2026). Those are the firms ValaisOS is being designed for: professionally accountable, closely held, and without a large technology or compliance department.
A note from the founder
I started ValaisOS because the firms I have spent my career building technology for are about to be handed a new kind of tool, and the accountability for what that tool does will land on them, not on the vendor. An advisory firm answers for its advice, its records, and its client information. AI does not change that. It changes how much work can be done before a person looks at it, and how easy it is to lose track of what the person actually reviewed.
Two things matter most to me. The first is client context. A firm's real asset is not the documents it holds but the reasoning around them: why a decision was made, what evidence supported it, who approved it. That context is fragile, and it should outlast any one advisor, any one system, and any one vendor. The second is that judgment stays in charge. Intelligence can inspect, interpret, and propose. A person with authority reviews and approves, and only approved work enters the firm's records. That is the whole design.
We publish our principles and our regulation-first direction in the open, and we write Advisor Insights from primary sources, because a firm should be able to check what we say. The product will be shown selectively, when it is ready.
